TTC's Philosophy

The world of triathlons and triathlon training is an incredibly challenging but equally rewarding sport to be involved in.  There is not a single triathlete out there who will tell you that sticking at it is always easy, but that is all part of the mental and physical test this sport .

At Tri Training Camps, we believe that it doesn’t matter what level you are at with your training and competing; the important thing is that you continue to push yourself to new limits.  There’s no need to compare yourself to anyone else, just be honest with yourself about your level of effort and with commitment the improvements will come.

So, what do we believe makes a good triathlete?

  • Fun – why bother doing all the hard work if you’re not enjoying it!  One of the best ways to maximise enjoyment is to train with other people; this is the whole reason Tri Training Camps was conceived.  You’ll be amazed at how much better you train when you are having fun too!

  • Commitment – this can be the hard part, but really committing to every session puts you in the best position to achieve consistent improvement.

  • Quality training – this is where the help of a coach or training camp plays a huge role, because we can help maximise your efficiency of training and make sure you have the right mix of workouts in your schedule.  You can trust that the sessions we provide you are for specific purposes and designed to help you achieve your goals.

  • Honesty – you need to be honest with yourself (and your coach) as to how hard you are working and be open about the challenges you face.  It is always best to bring up any issues or worries you are having with training and we will give you the best advice we can to help.
